Sometimes we Forget

We forget how things affect us when we are trying to get our point across.  It doesn't matter who you are or what you're trying to put across we mostly think of how to get that point across without regard to putting ourselves in other people's opinion.

And it doesn't matter of your preaching from the pulpit, writing a blog or book report or talking to your neighbor over the fence it's all in the wording.  Through the years words have crept into our vocabulary.  Do you remember when we would take our refuge to the 'dump'?  Now we say we take it to the land fill or recycling center.

TV's used to have built-in whatevers now they are on-board, parks were called parks now they are leisure time recreational areas.

It's all in how you frame it.  This is so true in advertising lf all sorts.  One of the best ads that I've ever seen-and it won a peabody-was the DD&B Volkswagen add entitled Think Small.  There are countless others but the king of framing words the right way is Steve Jobs from Apple-I'm sure you've seen his brilliant work through the years.  Watch this video and you'll start looking over your subject lines, blog posts almost immediately-I know I did.
